January 2025 through May, cutting off just before our delayed honeymoon. The first photos are from Hotel Saint Cecilia and South Congress where we took a few days after our wedding, and the rest are slowly through the following six months.

Ariana and I found a small window for her graduation photoshoot before a bustling May. I hadn’t been on campus in eight years, and it as conflictingly nostalgic. UT Austin prided itself — and failed — in walking a fine line between a progressive institution and a state school in a backwards state. That said, the nostalgia’s real, and I’m glad to celebrate my loved ones’ accomplishments.
We moved back to Austin from Pittsburgh in April 2024. These photos stretch from then until shortly before Darien’s and my wedding in January 2025.
I didn’t snap much at Pride in 2024 — I hate trying to photograph from the sidewalk — but we had a good time and got a few shots.
I travelled back to Austin from Pittsburgh about once quarterly, visiting family in Georgetown while working from our downtown-adjacent office.
These were taken between 2021 and 2022, as the novelty of my new neighborhood eroded and I began traveling further from home.
Bedouine stole the show when opening for Father John Misty in Antwerp in October 2018, and now she was headlining in Austin when we’d moved back months before.
These were shot between 2020 and 2021, from resettling into Austin, moving to a new neighborhood, and making peace with the pandemic’s new normal.
Returning to the office after a year and a half abroad meant that I was only sparsely shooting for the remainder of 2019. I would’ve been out significantly more had I known what we’d experience in 2020.
There isn’t much to show from our brief Summer return to Austin—we mostly retread old steps, including spending the vast majority of time at work.
This collection covers ATX photos from the Spring through Winter of 2017, before moving to Leuven in February.
A good friend from my undergraduate left Austin in February of his senior year. Shooting at night, without light, with the X-T1 was far from ideal, but lent itself to what I think became a much grainier and more raw style than I typically shot.
These were taken throughout the Fall of my senior year at UT.
Not having attended the previous year, it was great to attend All-Honors Formal in the December of my senior year.
Better than November sixth itself I much more significantly remember the following day as a necessary and appropriate collective outpouring of emotion.
In August, The Texas Tribune hosted Texas Turnout at the old Austin power plant. I hadn’t been at the site before and had only seen it at a distance, and the industrial space creates interesting geometry.
Buildings in this part of downtown Austin tend to have a nearly brutal, nondescript geometry.
These were all taken between my return from studying abroad in Lyon, and the start of the following new year.
