After returning to Auzon for a few days, Austin and I returned to Lyon—this time staying in the northern perimeter of Vieux Lyon. We arrived, and stepped out into some of the worst weather I’d seen there. Thankfully, it didn’t continue, and the following four days were gorgeous.

I returned to Lyon for the first time in over two years. We stayed in X Rousse, and started with our own walking tour of the Presqu’île, followed by explorations of Vieux Lyon. We wandered from there, across into the Eighth and Lyon 3’s buildings. We explored La Croix-Rousse at night.

I love the burst of balloons from the vendor’s hand, behind her head loosely resembling a baroque halo. This particular vendor took nearly every day on Rue de la République.

I studied in Lyon for the Spring of my junior year. These were taken from January through May of 2016, and feature nearly everyone I met in that time.
