I visited NOLA in March 2022. I’d been before with coworkers for a night on drive to Destin, but this time I was able to walk all day and explore outside Bourbon Street.
The week after Christmas 2019, my brother, my parents, and I went to Terlingua for a week. Most of that time was spent in Big Bend, with additional stops in the town itself, Marfa, and then at the Judd Foundation.
The Zello team took a respite in Destin, Florida, to try our hands at a a week’s sprint, to build out exploratory app features that were otherwise outside the roadmap. Read more about our process in this article by my former colleague Amy Roberts.
Our first Zello hackathon was only the Engineering and Product teams, holed up in an incredibly warm cabin in Breckenridge, Colorado, for a week. The night we arrived, the town put on Christmas-dog-parade—I don’t know how these things combine, but it was wonderful.
I road-tripped to Colorado over Spring break, spending a night to-and-from in Amarillo with my uncle, a night in Colorado Springs, and the rest of the week in Boulder.
